Winter Wedding Museum of Nature

Heading downtown Ottawa for Victoria and Brent’s wedding, I knew that it was going to be an extraordinarily special day.

This gorgeous, in-love couple met online and planned a sweet, intimate wedding shared between themselves with close family and friends.

Walking in the room at Chateau Laurier, I couldn’t help but notice the happy look on Victoria’s face right away with more and more of those little moments starting popping out when Brent arrive for their first look.

Victoria looked like a princess in her handmade wedding dress with little details taken from her mom’s wedding dress. Brent confirmed that when his eyes filled up with tears during their first look.

It was nice to see little details from their lifestyle incorporated into their amazing day such as Victoria’s cape as she’s a Comicon lover and a Winnipeg Jets garter belt which was also added to Brent’s cover bun and boutonniere.

We then headed over the Museum of Nature to take photos of the two of them. All the visitors glanced at the happy couple before heading out to tour the Museum. Victoria even had comments from the little one saying she looked like a princess.

Guests gathered at Le Cordon Bleu for their intimate ceremony followed by a delicious meal, speeches that had everyone laugh then a party on the dance floor.

I find that one of the best things about small weddings is that they lend themselves to especially tender moments. They also somehow feel a little more at ease, and that’s exactly what the vibe was on this beautiful day in January.

I’ll leave you with my favorite moments from the day, and with a big congrats to the newlyweds!
