Get ready for a major dose of awesome, females!

What do you get when you have 2 brides who are not afraid to show their love and affection for each other? An unforgettable wedding!

On July 22nd, I photographed Margaret and Nikki as they tied the knot at Museum of Nature in Ottawa. This was one wedding I had been looking forward to photograph for a while because after being in business for 24 years this was my first same sex wedding. By the time the big day arrived, I might have been just a bit too excited!!!

First, we arrive at their apartment to be welcome by their pets who were full of excitement too!!! I took photos of their dresses and some getting ready shots. We gave the brides to be a ride and ended up at Tabaret hall at Ottawa U for their photos. They had brought some butterflies with them to release a few and just enjoyed looking at them either fly away or simply resting on their shoulder or dress.

Margaret and Nikki both looked amazing. Many couples at their ceremony were holding hands and the tears were definitely flowing as they witnessed the ceremony of two people clearly in love. In other words, their guests were very happy to be part of this beautiful wedding.

After dinner, we had the pleasure of sharing with the couple and their guests a Chinese Lion dance. This was great to capture, watch and listen to the various sound that came with the dance.
Needless to say, this whole event was absolutely perfect from the early afternoon up to the first dance.

If you don’t believe in love you will after looking at these wedding pictures.
